Who are we looking for?
Container Registry is seeking a talented open-source software engineer who has the curiosity and expertise to deep dive into building and scaling one of the most widely used and adopted projects in the Cloud Native space, Harbor.
Harbor is a CNCF-graduated open-source container registry to store and manage container images and other OCI artifacts securely with policies, role-based access control, vulnerability analytics and signing.
Your Role
You will be responsible for the ongoing development of the open-source project Harbor. You will translate requirements from the community and customers into RFC and create specifications and implement them in the open.
A large part of your job will be maintaining and extending the existing code base, as well as training and onboarding new customers.
Part of your role will include Harbor 3rd level support, with verifying and fixing those difficult to spot cases.

Qualifications

- Appreciation towards craftsmanship, clean code and good software architecture.
- You are a professional software engineer with excellent knowledge.
- You have completed a degree in computer science or have an equivalent practical experience of several years.
- 5+ years experience in the software industry as a software developer
- Relevant work experience in building and maintainer Open-source software
- You don’t shy away from DevOps related topics so you understand how our users and customers tick.
- You have ideally gained experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
